Obtaining Your ID Badge

All requests are by appointment only. The Program Support Center (PSC) will contact you to schedule your badging and fingerprinting appointment at an office location in your region.

Note: For information on how to submit renewal and replacement badges, please contact your office’s Badging and Investigation Service requestor or sponsor.

What to Expect During Your PSC Badging Appointment

PSC badging operations is compliant with the following actions to support the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff:

Electro-static cleaning is performed daily, and cleaning and hand sanitizer supplies are on-hand in the PSC Badging Offices.

Appointment Requirements:

You will need to bring 2 unexpired valid form(s) of identity source documents in original form for the appointment. One form of identity source must have a current photo.

You will find the list of acceptable identifications attached to this message. Any documents not specified on the list attached are specified as being "not acceptable for federal identification purposes" will not be considered for identity proofing.

New employees are not permitted to be issued their badge prior to the assigned New Employee Orientation date. New contractors are not permitted to receive their badge prior to their start date. Please confirm start date prior to scheduling an Issuance appointment.

Please note: In addition to fingerprints, your picture will be taken at the time of enrollment. Hats or other headwear that would obscure the face are not permitted. However, prescription eyewear is permitted.

Building Entry:

Please check in at the front security desk in the main lobby and a security assistant will come escort you to the Badging Office. If you have a current PIV card you may proceed directly to the Badging Office.

We value your time and take pride in maintaining an efficient schedule that runs on time for our guests. We ask that you arrive on time for your appointment.

Please do not forget to bring your 2 unexpired form(s) of identity source documents in original form to the appointment.

Rescheduling Your Badging Appointment

Please notify your sponsor and contact the PSC Badging office immediately if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. The PSC Badging Office email is PSCbadging@psc.hhs.gov.
