The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Annual Report is a report that federal agencies must publish each year, as required by law under the Electronic FOIA Amendments of 1996. The annual reports include:
- The number of requests received and processed each fiscal year
- Reasons why the agency may not have released requested records
- The number of appeals filed and the results
- Fees collected
- The number of staff and staff hours devoted to processing requests
