Vaccines Federal Implementation Plan

The Vaccines Federal Implementation Plan 2021-2025 is a companion document to the Vaccines National Strategic Plan 2021-2025, published in January 2021. The Vaccines National Strategic Plan summarized national vaccination goals and offered a framework to eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases through safe and effective vaccination over the lifespan. Whereas the scope of the Vaccines National Strategic Plan is for both federal agencies and external partners, the new VFIP explains the specific actions that federal agencies will take to support these national vaccination goals.

Coordinated by the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy (OIDP), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), Department of Health and Human Services, the Vaccines Federal Implementation Plan was developed collaboratively with federal agency partners.

The Vaccines Federal Implementation Plan is an important step in government-wide efforts to foster collaboration and coordination across both public sector and private sector agencies working to achieve immunization goals.
