Centralized Federal Grant Systems
- Grants.gov
Your one-stop portal to FIND and APPLY for federal discretionary grants. Grants.gov hosts information on over 1,000 grant programs and provides access to approximately $500 billion in annual awards. Explore the Learn Grants section for helpful guidance. - System for Award Management (SAM.gov)
The official U.S. Government system for managing federal contracting and financial assistance (including grants and cooperative agreements) processes. Entities use SAM.gov to register for doing business with the government, update or renew registrations, and check on registration status. SAM.gov also includes:- Assistance Listings - A comprehensive listing of federal programs offering financial and non-financial assistance.
- Responsibility/Qualification – Integrity and performance data for federal contractors and grant recipients (formerly FAPIIS.gov).
- Subaward Reports – Tool for prime awardees (i.e. contractors and grant recipients) to report subawards and executive compensation (formerly FSRS.gov).
- Federal Audit Clearinghouse (FAC)
The central repository to submit and review for federal grant single audits.
Award Management & Payment Request Systems

A centralized platform managed by HHS and used by other federal agencies for grant application, award, and post-award management. - eRA Commons
A centralized research grant system managed by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and used by other federal agencies for application submission, progress reporting, and compliance. - Payment Management System
A system that allows grant recipients to draw down funds and submit their Federal Financial Reports (SF-425).
