HHS August 28, 2013 Public Meeting on SOC

On August 28, 2013, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) held a public meeting on matters related to protection of human subjects and research considering standard of care interventions.  The purpose of the meeting was to provide an opportunity for broad public participation and comment concerning how the requirements of the HHS protection of human subjects regulations, 45 CFR part 46, should be applied to research studying one or more interventions which are used as standard of care treatment in the non-research context. See the transcript, agenda and additional information about that meeting at: https://www.hhs.gov/ohrp/regulations-and-policy/requests-for-comments/public-meeting-08-28-2013/index.html
