    SNAP Waiver

    Target Implementation Date: January 1, 2026

    On August 4, USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins approved Governor Ron DeSantis’ request for a waiver to restrict the purchase of soda, energy drinks, candy, and prepared desserts with SNAP benefits.

  • Colorado

    SNAP Waiver

    Target Implementation Date: March 1, 2026

    On August 4, USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins approved Governor Jared Polis’ request for a waiver to restrict the purchase of soft drinks with SNAP benefits.

  • North Dakota

    HB 1454 - Opt-Our Procedure for Required Vaccines

    Ensures individuals can opt out of required vaccines for health, religious, or philosophical reasons and mandates schools follow existing vaccine opt-out procedures.

    SNAP Waiver

    Target Implementation Date: January 1, 2026

    Nebraska is the first state to remove soda and energy drinks from SNAP benefits. In a historic step, USDA Secretary Rollins signed Governor Pillen’s request to allow the state to stop subsidizing these sugary drinks.
