    SB 1289 - Virginia Healthy Schools Laws

    Signed on March 21, 2025 by Governor Glenn Youngkin

    Governor Glenn Youngkin signed companion bills prohibiting public schools from serving food made with certain artificial food dyes. Virginia became the second state to institute this synthetic food dye ban to protect children’s health.
