Real Food for Real Heroes: Secretary Kennedy Welcomes Lou Ferrigno, Dean Cain, and Kyle Reyes to The Real Food Show

WASHINGTON, D.C.—October 16, 2026—U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. today released a new episode of The Real Food Show featuring bodybuilding legend Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), actor Dean Cain (Superman), and law enforcement advocate Kyle Reyes. Together, they highlight the importance of proper nutrition and physical fitness for America’s real superheroes: the law enforcement officers and first responders who serve and protect our communities every day.

In the episode, Secretary Kennedy and his guests prepare affordable, protein-packed steak dishes using budget-friendly cuts of beef. Using simple ingredients and practical cooking techniques, they demonstrate how families and first responders can prepare nutritious, high-quality meals at home without breaking the bank.

“Our law enforcement officers and first responders protect us every day, and we need to help them protect their own health,” said Secretary Kennedy. “President Trump and I are putting real food and physical fitness back at the center of American health. This episode gives our first responders practical ways to eat well, build strength, and stay ready for the demanding work they do every day.”

Drawing on their personal experiences with law enforcement, fitness, and nutrition, the guests share practical strategies for meal preparation, building healthy routines, and making better food choices on the job.

Ferrigno, a legendary bodybuilder and former reserve deputy sheriff, discusses how decades of bodybuilding taught him the importance of proper nutrition and planning meals ahead of time. Cain, who has also served in law enforcement, shares his appreciation for the men and women who protect their communities and the challenges they face in maintaining healthy habits.

The episode also offers practical tips for stretching grocery budgets, choosing affordable cuts of beef, and using simple cooking techniques to prepare flavorful meals. Together, the guests demonstrate that nutritious, protein-rich food can be accessible to families and first responders alike.

The Real Food Show demonstrates how every American can cook healthy, delicious meals at affordable prices. Inspired by President Trump’s Make America Healthy Again agenda, the series features budget-friendly recipes, easy cooking techniques, and practical nutrition advice to help Americans bring real food back to the table and restore the sacred ritual of preparing and eating meals together.
