Secretary Kennedy announced the first-ever National Autism Missing and Endangered Person Alert initiative, launched with DOJ and FEMA to strengthen coordination among first responders when autistic individuals go missing. The initiative builds on existing alert systems and addresses wandering and elopement, a leading cause of preventable death among autistic individuals.
