
Nikki Oka
Special Assistant, White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI)
Nikki Oka is a Special Assistant at the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. She serves as the policy lead for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander issues and supports the Initiative’s health policy work.
Prior to joining WHIAANHPI, Nikki served as a Policy Aide with the Senate Special Committee on Aging working on Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and other health policy issues. She got her start on Capitol Hill as an APAICS Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives. A proud Native Hawaiian born and raised in Hawai’i, Nikki has also worked at the Hawai’i State Legislature, Native Hawaiian health care nonprofit Papa Ola Lōkahi, and Kamehameha Schools.
