Educational Workshops

OHRP collaborates with institutions to co-sponsor a variety of workshops catering to the roles and responsibilities of researchers, institutional review boards (IRBs), institutional officials, and others to promote the protection of human subjects in research.

Workshops focus on topics relevant to the hosting institution, and expect an audience size of about 100 participants. Workshops combine didactic instruction and engaging interactions to help participants appreciate how to interpret and apply the U.S. federal regulations and policies on human research protections.

For more information, see the Federal Register Notice announcing the opportunity to co-sponsor an Educational Workshop with OHRP.

If you are interested in hosting an educational workshop, contact us at OHRP-EDU@HHS.GOV.

From time to time, OHRP hosts workshops on hot button topics of interest to the research community. These workshops are meant to be informational. The opinions expressed in the workshops do not necessarily reflect the views of OHRP or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
