Beyond Altruism – Exploring Payment for Research Participation - OHRP’s 5th Exploratory Workshop on Thursday, September 15

We are just a few weeks away from this exciting event, which will explore the ethics and practical challenges of paying people for their participation in research. Join our prominent list of panelists in their exploration of whether and how payment advances equity and justice, what research participants think about payment, and how the research enterprise, including sponsors, researchers, IRB reviewers, and others, need to respond.

This event will be streamed live on Thursday, September 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST. Tell your colleagues, domestic and international, about this free workshop!. No registration is required. Visit the event website for details and access to the video.

Check out OHRP Educational Checklists on our Education-HRPP webpage!

OHRP offers three sets of educational checklists to help individuals learn about research participation and the framework of participant protections. These checklists provide step-by-step training tailored to different groups of people involved in the research enterprise. They are most helpful for early-stage investigators, individuals new to the IRB review framework, and community leaders aiming to help their constituents learn about research and research participation.

Find these here! Feel free to distribute and utilize these resources widely.

Also be sure to check out all of our printable educational materials here, including our colorful Learn About Research Participation poster and brochure!
