Strengthening Maternal Health

The United States has the highest maternal mortality rate among high-income countries. Addressing the maternity care crisis is a top priority at HHS. We are committed to supporting safe pregnancies and childbirth, eliminating pregnancy-related health disparities, and improving health outcomes for parents and infants across our country.

Title X Family Planning Services

Health centers that receive Title X funds provide affordable, high-quality family planning services nationwide.

Extending Postpartum Care

States can now provide 12 months postpartum coverage to those enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP.
