March 30-31, 2016 - Public Meeting

Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria.

The March public meeting was dedicated to discussion of the draft report developed by the Advisory Council’s working groups, entitled, Initial Assessments of the National Action Plan for Combating Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria; the Advisory Council then deliberated and voted to approve the recommendations in the report.  The topic of One Health and its role in combating antibiotic-resistance was also discussed by both federal and non-federal stakeholders.
