  • Nebraska

    SNAP Waiver

    Target Implementation Date: January 1, 2026

    Nebraska is the first state to remove soda and energy drinks from SNAP benefits. In a historic step, USDA Secretary Rollins signed Governor Pillen’s request to allow the state to stop subsidizing these sugary drinks.

    SNAP Waiver

    Target Implementation Date: January 1, 2026

    On August 4, USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins approved Governor Patrick Morrisey’s request for a waiver to remove soda from SNAP benefits.

  • Oklahoma

    SNAP Waiver

    Target Implementation Date: January 1, 2026

    On August 4, USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins approved Governor Kevin Stitt’s waiver request to prohibit the purchase of soft drinks and candy using SNAP benefits.

  • Colorado

    SNAP Waiver

    Target Implementation Date: March 1, 2026

    On August 4, USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins approved Governor Jared Polis’ request for a waiver to restrict the purchase of soft drinks with SNAP benefits.
