    Governor Glenn Youngkin signed companion bills prohibiting public schools from serving food made with certain artificial food dyes. Virginia became the second state to institute this synthetic food dye ban to protect children’s health.

    Nebraska is the first state to remove soda and energy drinks from SNAP benefits. In a historic step, USDA Secretary Rollins signed Governor Pillen’s request to allow the state to stop subsidizing these sugary drinks.
