Open Data Roundtable: Cross-Sectoral Collaboration on SDOH

The Center for Open Data Enterprise (CODE) is co-hosting a Roundtable with the HHS InnovationX team, titled Cross-Sectoral Collaboration on Social Determinants of Health. This Roundtable will take the perspective that the impacts of the SDOH go beyond health to affect an individual’s or community’s overall well-being, which is a population outcome measure beyond morbidity, mortality, and economic status that tells us how people perceive their life is going from their own perspective. The Roundtable will convene Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, private sector, and community leaders to develop a shared understanding of the SDOH as measures of well-being and begin collaborating to design discrete targets to reduce and ultimately eliminate inequities associated with SDOH factors. Key factors include economic inequality, education, housing inequity, disparities in transportation, and lack of access to sustainable and healthy food. These aspects will help stakeholders across sectors to collaborate and measure progress on addressing key underlying disparities.
