    As part of the FDA Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) National Minority Health Month observance, OMHHE is hosting Strategies to Increase Clinical Trial Participation for Diverse Communities, A Panel Discussion with the OMHHE REACH Consortium. During the virtual event, members of the Racial and Ethnic Minority Acceleration Consortium for Health Equity (REACH), representing organizations and researchers working with diverse communities throughout the nation, will discuss their ongoing work to improve clinical trial participation among racial and ethnic minority, rural, urban, and other communities they serve.

    Social Determinants of Health: Improving Health Outcomes Through Our Cultures, Communities, and Connections Virtual Roundtable

    In honor of National Minority Health Month, the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) will convene a virtual roundtable to discuss the ways in which the conditions of the environments where people are born, live, learn, work, play, worship, and age (known as social determinants of health, or SDOH) affect a wide range of health, functioning, and quality-of-life outcomes and risks. The discussion will also explore strategies and interventions to improve health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority populations and American Indian/Alaska Native communities.
