Pub 100-04 Medicare Claims Processing: January 2012 Update of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Payment System (ASC)
Guidance describing changes to, and billing instructions for, various payment policies implemented in the January 2012 ASC payment system update. As appropriate, it also includes updates to the Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS). Also included are notification of CY 2012 payment rates for separately payable drugs and biologicals, including long descriptors for newly created Level II HCPCS codes for drugs and biologicals and the CY 2012 ASC payment rates for covered surgical and ancillary services.
