One Time Update To The NCPDP Companion Document Regarding Crossover Claims To Medicaid
Guidance for a Medicaid crossover National Council for Prescription Drug Program (NCPDP) claim, Durable Medical Equipment Regional Carriers (DMERCs) must enter the Medicare Health Insurance Claim Number (HICN or HIC Number) if the eligibility file received from a Medicaid State Agency or a trading partner does not have a Medicaid Beneficiary ID in the Supplemental ID field.
