New Waived Tests – April 1, 2005
This instruction informs contractors of new waived
tests approved by the Food and Drug Administration under the Clinical Laboratory
Improvement Amendments of 1988. Since these tests are marketed immediately after
approval, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services must notify its contractors of
the new tests so that the contractors can accurately process claims.
