DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program – Impact on Medicare Advantage Plans
Guidance for Medicare Advantage Organizations, Cost Plans, and PACE Organizations and Demonstrations, announcing changes to Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) fee schedule payment amounts for certain items in certain competitive bidding areas. New payment rates for these items will be phased in beginning in 10 of the largest Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs), effective July 1, 2008.
