Program Area: Distributed Data Collection (DDC) for RA Including HCRP/EDGE Server
Question: Can large issuers split large EDGE server submissions into several smaller submissions and will the Date Timestamp on the file name be used to distinguish one (1) submission from another?
Answer: Medical and pharmacy files should be incremental files. Enrollment files are full files and subsequent files must also be full replacement files. Issuers are required to submit data to the EDGE server at least once per quarter. However, issuers may submit the data more frequently. The Date Timestamp on the file name is used to determine the order the files should be processed.
