Distributed Data Collection (DDC) for RA Including HCRP/EDGE Server FAQ

Guidance for FAQ regarding Edge Server Operations and Reports

Issued by: Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)

Issue Date: November 14, 2014

Program Area: Distributed Data Collection (DDC) for RA Including HCRP/EDGE Server

Question: When issuers submit data through the EDGE server and an error record is produced, is there a specific time frame in which issuers must correct the error?

Answer: Issuers should establish a process for reviewing and resolving the outbound file and the reported reject errors on a regular basis. All corrections must be submitted no later than April 30th of the year following a benefit year (i.e., April 30, 2015 for 2014 benefit year). After April 30th issuers will not have an opportunity to make corrections to rejected data.
