Dear Tribal Colleagues:
The Office of Community Services (OCS) has prepared guidance to Tribes and Tribal organizations regarding the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 requirements for the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Tribal Plan submission. We are providing this message to share information of this guidance attached here as Information Memorandum # 128 dated July 10, 2012. There is not additional information requested from Tribes in the FY 2013 plan submission.
As in prior years, formal guidance for Tribal plan submission is provided in a formal Information Memorandum (IM). The instructions included in this IM related to basic CSBG Act requirements is similar or identical to requirements outlined in prior years. The CSBG website currently includes an outline for a model application for Tribes. This outline includes all information necessary for completing required assurances and narrative information specifically outlined in the CSBG Act. The model outline may be found on the ACF website.
We strongly recommend that Tribes and Tribal organizations begin development of FY 2013 Tribal Plans based on current procedures and processes to allow submission of all required assurances and narrative plan information.
As always, we appreciate your hard work and dedication to the important work of CSBG.
Sincerely,
/s/ Jeannie L. Chaffin Director Office of Community Services Administration for Children and Families Department of Health and Human Services |
