Question: How will individuals who enroll under Direct Enrollment identify their maximum Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) amount and select their actual APTC amount?
Answer: The Exchange calculates the maximum APTC amount and communicates it to the enrollee during the plan selection process. The enrollee can then choose their plan and actual APTC amount on the issuer's website. The issuer provides enrollment information to the Exchange so that the Exchange can generate the 834 enrollment transaction.
