Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) FAQ
Guidance for FAQ regarding 820 Transaction and Processing
Program Area: Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP)
Question: How will the Federally-facilitated Small Business Health Options Program (FF-SHOP) reverse Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) and distribute an earlier partial payment among employees and dependents?
Answer: The FF-SHOP will only send payments to issuers when the employer makes the full premium payment. If the bank notifies the FF-SHOP of an NSF of a full payment already sent to an issuer, the FF-SHOP will reverse the payment sent to the issuer on the next remittance.
