Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP) FAQ
Guidance for FAQ regarding Issuer Participation Requirements and EFT/EDI Onboarding
Program Area: Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP)
Question: Do issuers who previously established 834 connectivity with the Federally-facilitated Small Business Health Options Program (FF-SHOP) need to resubmit Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Registration forms each year?
Answer: If Issuers have already established Electronic File Transfer (EFT) connectivity with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the Trading Partner that will receive FF-SHOP transactions, additional connectivity testing is not required. Issuers must, however, update the EDI Registration Form to include routing for current year FF-SHOP QHPs.
