Guidance for FAQ regarding 834 Transaction and Maintenance Transaction
Program Area: Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP)
Question: When sending 834 maintenance transactions will the Federally-facilitated Small Business Health Options Program (FF-SHOP) send all members on the policy, or will the FF-SHOP only send the subscriber plus the member whose information that should be changed?
Answer: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will only send information for the individual with the change; CMS will not send the entire member file.
