Guidance for FAQ regarding 834 Transaction and Cancellation Transaction
Program Area: Small Business Health Options Program (SHOP)
Question: For dependent-level cancellations, will the Federally-facilitated Small Business Health Options Program (FF-SHOP) send issuers data for the entire employer contract (as is the case in the Individual Market) or will the FF-SHOP only send data from the dependent portion of the record?
Answer: When a dependent's coverage is cancelled, the FF-SHOP will only send the dependent record. As applicable, the transaction may also include a financial change.
