SHO Letter: Facilitating Medicaid and CHIP Enrollment and Renewal in 2014
Guidance for : As states prepare for the changes to Medicaid eligibility that will go into effect on January 1, 2014, identifying ways to efficiently enroll eligible individuals is a high priority. Based on discussions with states and stakeholders, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering optional strategies that can help make significant progress toward reducing the number of uninsured individuals and optional tools to help states manage the transition to their new eligibility and enrollment systems and coverage of new Medicaid enrollees.
