Risk Adjustment (RA) FAQ

Guidance for FAQ regarding Risk Adjustment Operations and Policy

Program Area: Risk Adjustment (RA)

Question: How does delayed submission of the required data files affect any payment transfers that issuer may receive?

Answer: Risk adjustment payment transfers will be calculated by June 30th of the year following the applicable benefit year. A delay in the submission of initial files to the External Data Gathering Environment (EDGE) server will not impact risk adjustment payment transfers; however, all data must be submitted by April 30th of the year following the applicable benefit year. We will provide additional information on risk adjustment payment transfers in a future risk adjustment webinar.
