Guidance for: This memorandum provides state survey agency directors with updated guidance related to new and revised hospital governing body and medical staff regulations specified in the State Operations Manual's (SOM) Appendix A. These revised guidelines reflect recent amendments to the Governing Body and Medical Staff Conditions of Participation as well as technical corrections.
