Question: What is the purpose of Form 1095-A?
Answer: Consumers receive Form 1095-A because they or their family member(s) enrolled in health insurance coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace. Form 1095-A provides information that consumers need to complete Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit (PTC). The Marketplace has also reported this information to the IRS.
