Question: Will the risk adjustment software be available for issuers to calculate their own risk scores?

Answer: Risk scores will be calculated using CMS developed software that will be run on the Edge Server. Details regarding the risk adjustment specific code that will reside on an Edge Server will be provided in the future. Until the risk adjustment code is ready for release, you can utilize the HHS-Developed Risk Adjustment Model Algorithm Software available at: http://www.cms.gov/CCIIO/Resources/Regulations-and-Guidance/index.html#Premium Stabilization Programs (posted on May 7, 2013).
