Guidance for FAQ regarding Edge Server Operations and Data Submission - Medical File

Question: Please confirm if International Classification of Diseases (ICD) 9 procedure codes will be accepted if submitted on the inbound medical claim file; how should issuers submit office visits, such as routine exams and obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) visits?
Answer: The EDGE server will not accept ICD-9 procedure codes. The acceptable service type codes used to report medical services are Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) or Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS).
