Question: How should issuers submit dental services on the EDGE Server Medical Claim Submission (ESMCS) file?

Answer: Issuers should submit dental services on the ESMCS file using a Service Code Qualifier value of '01' as the indicator. Dental codes would be populated in the Service Code field. If the issuer is unable to populate a diagnosis code, V700 may be populated as a default code for dental services.
