Question: Is a reference check performed on the National Drug Code (NDC) field for EDGE Server Pharmacy Claim Submission (ESPCS) file claims on the EDGE server, and if so, which source will be used for reference?

Answer: A reference check is performed to determine if the NDC exists in the EDGE global reference data and if the fill date is within the effective date range of the NDC.
