Question: Can cost-sharing reduction (CSR) subsidies be applied to pediatric dental benefits?
Answer: CSRs do not apply to stand-alone dental plans. If the pediatric dental benefit is offered by a QHP, then CSRs do apply. See 156.440(b) of the HHS Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for 2014; Final Rule published March 11, 2013.
