Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) can be passed from one person to another during sex. Some infections show no early signs, while others can lead to painful symptoms or even infertility. The most reliable way to avoid transmission of STDs is to abstain from oral, vaginal, and anal sex or to be in a long-term, mutually monogamous relationship with a partner known to be uninfected. This site provides some basic facts about common sexually transmitted infections, including their symptoms, treatment, and prevention.
