Data Science CoLab

Demo Day

(October 11, 2018)

About

On October 11, 2018, join us at HHS Headquarters in room 800 to learn about the HHS Data Science CoLab, meet members of the inaugural cohort, and understand the new possibilities and challenges the Department faces as data science becomes common practice in today’s information age.

CoLab participants, data evangelists and practitioners will present case studies along with updates from CMS’ BlueButton 2.0, NIH’s Sync for Science and FDA’s INFORMED initiative. The day will highlight impactful projects that utilize approaches ranging from text mining, machine learning and classification, modeling, and visualization (among others) which all serve to enable better insights, automation and decision-support on behalf of the broad HHS mission.
