SSBG Reporting Requirements for Hurricane Sandy Supplemental Funds
Pre-Expenditure Reports
States that received Sandy SSBG supplemental funds are required to submit pre-expenditure reports (intended use plans) detailing proposed uses of their supplemental SSBG grant award. This report should outline how the state will use available funding for activities allowable under the regular Title XX program, as well as clear timelines for implementation and completion of grant activities.
The deadline for submission of complete 2013 Supplemental SSBG Funds pre-expenditure reports for the full state allocation is June 30, 2013.
This requirement is in accordance with Section 2004Visit disclaimer page of the Social Security Act [42U.S.C. § 1397c], which governs reporting requirements for the SSBG program and requires updates for substantial changes in activities supported.
Post-Expenditure Reports
States receiving Sandy SSBG supplemental funds are also required to submit post-expenditure reports. The post-expenditure report for the Hurricane Sandy SSBG Supplemental funds is due after each annual reporting period. The report is separate from the report that states submit for the traditional SSBG program.
States are reminded to track expenditures of Sandy SSBG supplemental funds separately from their annual SSBG allotments and submit expenditure data using the required post-expenditure reporting form.
