Updates

April 15, 2024

CMS updated the current HIS Manual to incorporate a change in the expiration date for the HIS manual and both the Admission and Discharge Item sets. Adjustments were made to the footers, examples and tables to reflect more current dates.  Minor corrections were also made.

January 31, 2024

CMS updated the current HIS Manual to incorporate a change in terminology, referencing the Consensus-based Entity, or CBE. The Downloads below now include a new manual, HIS Manual V3.01, and the HIS Manual Change Table V3.00 to V3.01. These minor changes to the text in the manual had no impact on the current data sets. HIS Admission V3.00 and HIS Discharge V3.00 are still the current versions.
