Alcohol Use in Adolescence

Alcohol use is a common and risky behavior among adolescents in the United States, with more than three in five high school students reporting having had at least one drink.Fortunately, parents and practitioners who work with youth can play a vital role in influencing their use of alcohol. The following section explores how common alcohol use is among adolescents, the risks associated with its use, and strategies adults can use to help youth make healthy decisions.
