Project Overview: Healthy Visions will implement the Weekly Youth Engagement Program (WYE) with primarily African American students in 6th to 12th grade attending five middle and high schools in Cincinnati, Ohio. WYE is a weekly, embedded engagement program that combines sexual risk avoidance education with positive youth development programming and one-on-one mentoring, with the goal of reducing unplanned pregnancy and promoting abstinence. WYE focuses on strengthening protective factors, including positive connections to supportive adults, through curricula that emphasize parent engagement and teach goal setting and leadership development.
Target Population: 6th-12th grade youth, primarily African American
