Program Summary

Project Overview: The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) intends to evaluate promising approaches informed by empirical evidence that have the potential to reduce teen pregnancy rates, sexually transmitted infection (STI) rates, and associated sexual risk behavior. In order to achieve this goal, CDPH implements the STI Education and Screening Program which provides onsite sexual health education, optional urine screening for gonorrhea and chlamydia, a confidential counseling session with a health educator, and linkage to care services to high school age students in Chicago Public Schools.
