Program Summary

Project Overview: Better Family Life, Inc. (BFL) is a St. Louis, Missouri community development corporation with 32 years of experience in operating programs to strengthen St. Louis families. BFL is partnering with 22 St. Louis City, MO, St. Louis County, MO, and St. Clair County, IL, public and private schools in six different area school districts. The BFL Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program is designed to educate youth on positive sexual health decision-making and emphasizes abstinence. BFL implements evidence-based initiatives, programs and services to reduce teen pregnancy, HIV, other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and risky sexual behavior among adolescents in middle school, high school, and community/after school settings in the greater metropolitan area. The BFL initiative seeks to empower students in urban and suburban communities to navigate adolescence so they make proud choices that reflect their passion and potential.

Target Population: Middle and high schools students in St. Louis
