The In School Pregnancy/Parenting Interventions, Resources, and Education Project (InSPIRE) will improve the education, economic, health and social outcomes for school age parents and their children in Wisconsin. The program will provide technical and financial assistance to school districts to provide education, training, and support for school age parents and their children. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction will use the funds for an estimated 10 grants to public school districts, including 25 targeted high schools. Required activities for each grantee include providing academic supports, promoting post-secondary education, improving parenting skills, providing case management, building a local coalition, facilitating access to child-care services and strengthening education for school-aged parents.
