Project Description

The State of Arizona, Governor's Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) will facilitate an Interagency Pregnancy and Parenting Assistance Council that will oversee services for expectant or parenting youth and young adults in Maricopa County, Arizona. All participating youth will be ages 12-24 and will be currently or formerly involved with the foster care or juvenile justice system. GOYFF will implement three programs: Links Platform, a resource and information digital platform; Active Links System, an information and referral program; and the Empowered Young Parents Program. Through these programs, GOYFF will provide participants with varying levels of need with access to health and parenting information, referrals to services, and one-on-one care coordination. Participants with the highest levels of need will receive programming to help them address grief, loss, and trauma, and develop the skills needed to form nurturing relationships with their children.
