Project Description

The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Section, within the Oregon Public Health Division (OPHD), at the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), will implement the Support to Expectant and Parenting Students (STEPS) Project to support expectant and parenting students at four community colleges across the state, including: Columbia Gorge Community College, Klamath Community College, Linn Benton Community College, and Chemeketa Community College. Building on previous work, OPHD will use a two-generation approach and partner with community centers to provide services, linkages, and referrals to address: personal health; early childhood health and education; education, employment and self-sufficiency; concrete supports; and parenting education and relationship skill building.
